Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) grantee Onward Health, one of the winners of the Mass Digital Health Healthy Aging Challenge, recently expanded its service area from the San Francisco Bay Area to Southern California and Arizona. After launching in the San Francisco Bay Area, the expansion broadens access to Companion Rides, Onward’s assisted Door-Through-Door transportation service, to these two new markets.
SOMERVILLE, Mass. – The Massachusetts eHealth Institute’s (MeHI) has selected Hemorai, Mae, and SimpliFed as the winners of their spring Digital Health Sandbox Challenge. Each company will be awarded $50,000 to develop and test their digital health solutions with key partners in the Massachusetts ecosystem. The partners will work with the companies to accelerate research and development of technologies aimed at supporting the unique health needs of women+.
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – The winner of Massachusetts eHealth Institute’s (MeHI) first Medicaid Challenge is Tembo Health. Tembo Health will receive a $50,000 grant to pilot their remote monitoring technology with members of the nonprofit health insurance company, WellSense.
Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) grantee Stellar Sleep, the winner of the 2022 COVID-19 Innovations to Support Healthcare Providers Challenge, recently announced that they raised $6 million in seed financing. Stellar Sleep’s solution is poised to transform sleep health for the 25 million Americans battling chronic insomnia, defined as having sleep problems three or more nights a week over the course of three or more months.

BOSTON, MASS. — Today, the Massachusetts eHealth Institute at MassTech (MeHI) launched a new Digital Health Challenge focused on bolstering support for Women+ communities. The event was sponsored by the chairs of the Joint Committee on Healthcare Financing, State Senator Cindy F. Friedman and State Representative John J. Lawn, Jr. The kickoff for the second session in MeHI’s Challenge series brought together leaders across the Digital Health ecosystem to examine and tackle health-related issues faced by Women+, which includes the needs of cisgender women and transgender or nonbinary individuals whose health needs relate to those of cisgender women. The second event in a series launched late last year by MeHI, the new Challenge includes the issues of maternal health, reproductive equity, mental health, and disease prevention.
On June 15th, Boston-based myBiometry was the recipient of MeHI's $10,000 cash award for innovation at Boston Scientific's Connected Patient Challenge VII, administered by M2D2. myBiometry is a platform designed to remotely monitor and manage patients with asthma using software and biomarker data generated from proprietary sensors.
