Massachusetts Grants Help Vendors Link to State HIE

The Massachusetts eHealth Institute, the state entity for health innovation, has awarded “Last-Mile” grants totaling $1.3 million to 11 software vendors to aid in connecting HealthData Management logocustomers to Mass HIway, the state’s health information exchange.

The goal is to offset the cost of developing and implementing interfaces to providers serving vulnerable populations for secure messaging software in their EHRs that will use federally developed Direct Project protocols.

Vendors awarded grants include Aprima Medical Software ($101,085), ClaimTrak ($150,000), ComChart ($50,000), DiCom Grid ($59,720), eClinicalWorks ($150,000), eHana ($150,000), HealthWyse ($75,000), McKesson ($92,600), MEDfx ($150,000), NexJ ($150,000) and NoMoreClipboard ($51,940).
