MA EHR Incentive Program Attestation Deadline Extension for Eligible Hospitals

CMS Proposed Rule on 90-Day EHR Reporting Period in 2016

CMS is proposing a 90-Day EHR reporting period in 2016 for all Eligible Professionals, Eligible Hospitals, and Critical Access Hospitals. The agency has stated that the change would further assist healthcare providers by increasing flexibility in the program. The EHR reporting period would be any continuous 90-day period between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.

Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialists Are Now Eligible for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program

The Massachusetts Medicaid EHR Incentive Program recently received approval from The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialists (PCNS) will now be eligible to participate in the incentive program as Eligible Professionals (EPs). The inclusion of PCNS makes the EHR incentives more widely available to the Behavioral Health sector.
