eHealth Community Managers

MeHI's eHealth Community Managers are responsible for facilitating community eHealth maturity in their designated area of Massachusetts as part of the Connected Communities Program. Top priorities of an eHealth Community Manager's role are to initiate and maintain key stakeholder relationships, collaborate on ideas and challenges, facilitate exchange of best practices, and to generally clarify the dynamic Health IT ecosystem in support of broader Health IT adoption and use. 

The eHealth Community Managers represent MeHI as subject matter experts on essential Health IT projects and initiatives. They also organize outreach and educational activities in their region designed to encourage care providers and organizations to adopt and use interoperable EHRs and connect via HIE, to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs.

Keely Benson
eHealth Community Manager, Northeast

Keely Benson is an eHealth Community Manager for MeHI, covering the East Merrimack, Metro Boston, North Shore, Newburyport, and West Merrimack communities. 

Keely has over fourteen years of experience in the healthcare field working in a variety of technical areas, including health information technology, public health, and Medicare services. 

While at MeHI, Keely has focused on developing healthcare partnerships, supporting efforts of the Mass HIway and operationalizing MDPHnet (the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Network). 

She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Suffolk University in Boston.

Stephanie Briody
eHealth Community Manager, Southeast Region

Stephanie Briody is an eHealth Community Manager for the Southeast Region. Her focus is on Cape Cod and Islands, among other Southeast communities.

Stephanie has 20+ years of experience in the medical/legal field, representing hospitals, physicians, nurses and patients. Her most recent work has been with the elder and disability populations for whom she is often called upon to create patient centered care plans.

At MeHI, Stephanie establishes and manages community partnerships and programs in her region and across the state. She is also a Behavioral Health Sector Lead for MeHI and will set priorities and build programming to open access to and link behavioral health care and primary health care.

Stephanie holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from Bucknell University and a J.D. degree from Villanova School of Law. She and her husband, Kevin live in South Chatham, MA.

Andrea Callanan
eHealth Community Manager, Western / Central

Andrea Callanan is an eHealth Community Manager supporting the Connected Communities program for MeHI. Andrea covers the Western and Central Mass regions and collaborates often with the other eHealth Community Managers located around the Commonwealth.

Andrea brings over 20 years of experience in both the non-profit and healthcare sectors, including deep understanding and knowledge of both community engagement and program management from her prior work.

She holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and lives in Western MA.
